Single Family A single family has father, mother, and their children. A single family may be small or big. The needs of a small Family are limited. A small family is a happy family.

A JOINT FAMILY A joint family is made up of two or more single families. A big family has father, mother, and more than two children.

It consists of grandparents, father, mother, uncle, aunt and cousins. A joint family is a big family indeed.

There are many relations in a family. Grandfather (Dada) is father’s father. Grandmother (Dadi) is father’s mother. Grandfather (Nana) is mother’s father. Grandmother (Nani) is mother’s mother. Uncle (Chacha) is father’s brother. Aunt (Chachi) is uncle’s wife. Uncle’s son is called cousin brother and uncle’s daughter is called cousin sister.
