What is a Pedigree? A pedigree is a chart of the genetic history of a family over several generations. Scientists and genetic counselors use pedigrees to analyze family history. Why do you think it would be useful to know your genetic history? -see what the chances are of passing a disease or inheriting it

Autosomal or Sex-linked? What does autosomal mean? Refer to your notes if you need to. What does sex-linked mean? How can we figure out if this is autosomal or sex-linked? -sex-linked should affect one sex more than the other.

Dominant or recessive? Is this a dominant or recessive trait? Why? If this was a dominant trait, what would be different?
