Problems Of Modern Fire Fighting By Sawyer Cable

Building Construction In the 70s-80s most of the building materials where real wood and natural. unlike today where every thing is made out of the cheapest material like synthetic fibers so that they can produce more product for a cheaper price In a video the fire in a modern house blew up in flames in Within 3 minutes the flames were going through the roof. By having a lot of synthetic materials in your house it helps the fire too burn hotter and faster

https://youtu.be/tIyZx8uIMh0 According to the state fire marshal, 319 people were killed in residential fires between 2010 and 2013. A crazy, 34,132 homes were damaged across California during that same period. Wow now that’s whack! "A person has to be able to react to a fire situation in their home, in three minutes," said a fire fighter named Hoover. This video shows the differences between old and new homes

Modern House Fires House fires are one of the bigger and important alarms. They account for about 75% of all structure fires and an equal percent of civilian deaths and injuries. The National Fire Protection Association calculates that the dollar loss from residential fires in the United States is $200 every second, for an annual loss of about $8 billion annually. On average, one American dies in a residential fire every three hours. https://youtu.be/zHZSXJjhs-o This fire was caused by the family's next door neighbors lighting off fireworks in there back yard!

The 4 Stages of a Fire Ignition – the first stage begins when heat, oxygen and a fuel combine resulting in fire. usually represented by a very small fire which often goes out on its own well hopefully it dose. At this stage its your best chance at suppression or escape. Growth – The growth stage is when the structures fire load and oxygen are used as fuel for the fire. The potential for thermal layering starts to kick in. Its during this stages when a deadly flashover can occur, trapping, injuring or killing firefighters. Fully Developed – When the growth stage has reached its max and all combustible materials have been ignited, a fire is considered fully developed. This is the hottest phase of a fire and the most dangerous for anybody trapped within. Decay – Usually the longest stage of a fire, this happens when the fire decrease in oxygen or fuel, putting an end to the fire.
