Let’s research the physical geography of this diverse region Create a PowerPoint to visually answer the following questions and include a description: What is the location? Show us a map! Describe the relative location. What are the physical characteristics? (physical geography) What are THREE interesting physical characteristics and images? What are the human characteristics? Show THREE images of humans in this country. How do people move in this country? Show ONE image of a form of movement. How do humans interact with the environment? Show us TWO images of this. Vietnam Relative Location: Located in Southeast Asia and borders the South China Sea.

Physical Characteristics Fansipan, highest mountain in Vietnam. Located in North Vietnam, near the border with China. Mekong Delta, dense jungle and small tributaries. Located in South Vietnam. Red River, runs through hills and mountains before ending at the Gulf of Tonkin. Located in North Vietnam.

Human Characteristics Traditional Vietnamese instruments Buddhist temple – Over 50% of the country practices Buddhism. Pho

Human-Environment Interaction Fishing, large and small boats along the coastline. Major product exported out of Vietnam. Rice farming, using canals to flood certain areas and grow rice. It is still mostly harvested by hand.

Movement Because Vietnam has many waterways, some people use boats as their main form of transportation.
