About Gymnastics English Gagik Adamyan

Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of exercises requiring strength, flexibility, balance and control. Internationally, all events are governed by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). Each country has its own national governing body (BIW) affiliated to FIG. Competitive artistic gymnastics is the best known of the gymnastic events. It typically involves the women's events of vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Men's events are floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and the high bar. Gymnastics evolved from exercises used by the ancient Greeks that included skills for mounting and dismounting a horse, and from circus performance skills.

I am also a gymnastic I am already 7 years a gymnast and I like this sport very much. I participated in many competitions and this year I am going to participate in competition in Georgia. I have 15 medals and 6 of them are gold medals and the others are silver and bronze. My sport school is named after Hrant Shahinyan who was very famous athlete in my Country.

Gymnastic celebrities in my country Armenia had many good gymnastics in their history. It’s very hard to write all of them, because the quantity of Armenian gymnastics is very big. I will namee only the best ones. They are Harutyun Merdinyan,Artur Tovmasyan,Artur Davtyan,Hrant Shahinyan,Albert Azaryan.
