Photography Rubric 2018 Digital photography uses a variety of digital technologies to make images of subjects. Traditional photography uses the effect of light falling on photographic film through he lens of a camera to create images that are then revealed through a chemical process. In digital photography, light and lenses are still involved, but the light falls on an electronic sensor within a digital camera, and is then converted into a digital file which can be viewed or printed as an image. As with traditional types of photography, there is an art to taking a good digital photograph. Photography can transform almost any subject by providing visual evidence of student understanding. https://fuse.education.vic.gov.au/Search/Results?AssociatedPackageId=&QueryText=photography&SearchScope=All extra Resources for Extension

At Expected Level Consolidating Beginning Grade One & Two I can edit the image using picture tools within format. For example; Corrections, colour, Artistic effects, Remove Background, Insert Frames, Set Transparent colour, etc. I can insert an image from the student public drive, digital photos, 2017 folder. (Your student image from any year. Copy & Paste it onto slide two 5 times.) I can insert an image from the home drive. Grade Three I can capture, download and edit pictures from a digital camera and iPad. (Rotate, format, cut & paste into own folder.) I can download my pictures from a camera or iPad. I can recharge a camera or iPad. I can take a photograph using a camera & iPad. (Good quality-visual) Grade Four I can use auto collage to create a poster using images I’ve photographed. BeFunky is a great site within ‘Google’ search. I can use graphics and text to show ideas and present this using SmartArt. (Title is “How to use a camera”) I can take photographs for a purpose. (Selfie, Close ups, landscape, portrait, group, etc.) Grade Five/Six I can create a portfolio of multiple images to publish my expertise in photography. (Negotiable topics…Grade 6=EPS Years, Friends-Teachers, Nature, Abstract, etc.) I can post a photograph within my blog. (Favourite hangout at school, an artistic angle of our school, etc.) I can attach an image, taken by me, and send it to Mrs Miller & CC my parents/peers. Create a portfolio within this rubric displaying evidence of each step. Extension see link.
