Presentation transcript:

A Bittersweet Story…. We designed our art work to have Foxfire in the middle with words and images linked to sadness and despair on one side and hope on the other. We all created sketches, posters and sculptures individually and added these to the overall piece. We learnt about the concept of something being bittersweet: we thought Anna’s death was bittersweet because it was heart-breaking for Emmaline, but meant Anna was finally at peace from her illness and not in pain.

We thought it was also true in Emmaline’s return to health, which is a happy, but also bitter because she has to face the reality that her family are dead.

We thought the broken pencils was interesting too – damaged and broken, but actually when sharped there were more to share.
