Use ICT to improve healthcare in rural areas of Cambodia Develop mobile phone application for young people to consult their problems (STDs) with professional medical staffs. OBJECTIVES

PROBLEMS 81% of the population live in rural areas[1]. In 2007, 40% of RHAC patients were affected with STDs [2]. Unawareness of sanitation and inadequate access to care Social and cultural barriers (Embarrassment of talking about STD)

OUR PARTNERS SMART: provides the mobile phone service in Cambodia. is the third largest mobile in Cambodia, 850,000 subscribes in 2011 [3]. offers us free of charge SMS communication between a mobile client- based application and server.

OUR PARTNERS (cont.) RHAC (Reproductive Health Associated of Cambodia): is a non-government organization which focuses on reproduction health in Cambodia. was admitted as the Cambodian member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) [4]. has provided the symptoms of STD, as well as medical advice regarding the design of the applications.
