UK Firearms Crime From 60% to 100% Fast time – within 24 hours Levels of firearm discharges have more than halved in number, reducing by 67 %

Criminal Use of Firearms – 3 Months 1st July – 30th September 2015 79 inferred firearms reported on this quarter are outstanding. 66 of these firearms have been used once 13 firearms have been previously used 11 Firearms previously identified as inferred have been recovered in this reporting period 260 Firearms submitted to NABIS were recovered with no previous ballistic connections

All Outstanding Firearm Types Reported to NABIS this Quarter

Key Themes 62 of the 79 outstanding firearms were identified as handguns or possible handguns Pistols and Revolvers remain the most commonly used firearm Since NABIS began in 2008 only one shots fired incident has identified an assault rifle as an inferred weapon 9 sub machine guns have been identified as inferred weapons over the last 12 months
