Wireless Electrocardiogram System Senior Project 2013-2014 Project Member: David Chadwick Faculty Advisor: Dr. John LaCourse ECE 791/792: Senior Project

General Overview Purpose of project Goals Design overview Implementation timeline

Project Purpose Develop a non-invasive ECG instrument to work wirelessly with mobile devices Early detection of heart attacks and other anomalies Monitor progress of physical therapy and recovery Portability and ease-of-use

Goals Measure ECG signal response Signal response accuracy: 70% Maximum signal delay: 2 seconds Low power, leading to long-term use Ease of use Multiple platform performance

Design Overview

Design Overview fc = 146.7 Hz Av = 120 (gain stage) Voltage sources (3.3V – 9V) Battery life: >24 hours Production cost: <$50.00
