U400M Systems Modernization February-September 2007 new axial injection line; deep modernization of warm ECR ion source (DECRIS-2); new U400M central region ion optics for low (4÷15) MeV/n beam acceleration; new target–catcher system for 6He production with local radiation shielding; second system for low energy beam extraction; new RF control system; partial modernization of water cooling system; new main magnet coil power supply source; second superconducting 18-GHz ECR ion source DECRIS-SC2 (under testing).

October-December 2007 U400M Modernization Results Ion beams with energy 5,5 MeV/n and intensity 0,2 ρμa, acceleration and extraction to the second direction. Ion beams with energy 5,5 MeV/n and intensity 0,2 ρμa, acceleration and extraction to the second direction. Increasing the light ion beams intensity for production of secondary beams (limit will be tested).
