Working Capital Success Story ABRO Industries, Inc. South Bend, IN 30 Jobs Can’t we find local examples? “Cleary we would not be being doing what we’re doing today without Ex-Im Bank.” – Peter F. Baranay, President Provides top quality automotive, industrial and consumer products to customers in countries across the globe.  All sales from exports. Great story of progression in leveraging Ex-Im Bank’s products as it grew. Started in 2002 with single-buyer credit insurance, moved to small business policy, then graduated to our standard multi-buyer (no longer a small business), and then added working capital loan guarantee. Grew 123% over six years to $145 million in CY 2009. Sell to over 175 countries and also use our multi-buyer insurance to more than double sales to sub-Saharan Africa (30% of total sales) Bank helps support their 30 employees and some 1,500 jobs at suppliers nationwide. JP Morgan Chase is lender: very secure – ABRO assets, our insurance and our guarantee! Working Cap (pre-export) gives funds to fulfill orders: 75% advance rate on inventory and 90% on accounts receivables Company holds about $7 million of inventory at any given time for immediate shipment and has in excess of $50 million in foreign receivables. Thus, cash flow is critical. Working Cap allows ABRO to borrow against this inventory and receivables. NEWS: 1) we now finance indirect exports, and 2) Only 10% cash required for standby letters of credit (formerly 25%) BIG SAVINGS: With Ex-Im Bank insurance AND working capital gty, ABRO gets a 25% discount on its insurance premiums and the opportunity to negotiate lower premium fees with lender
