When light hits an object it must… Reflect – Bounce Off   Transmit – Go Through Absorb – Take In

What is an opaque object? A material that reflects or absorbs all of the light that strikes it.

How about translucent? Materials that scatters light as it passes through.

What is transparent? Any object that transmits light

What are rays? Light wave represented as straight lines.

What is regular reflection? Occurs when parallel rays of light hit a smooth surface.

What is diffuse reflection? Occurs when parallel rays of light hit a bumpy or uneven surface.
