after success … ‘The Lord indeed is God’. ... the fire of the Lord fell. The people fell on their faces and said, ‘The Lord indeed is God’. 1 Kings 18.38,39
… threat Jezebel said “so may the gods do to me if I do not make your life like the life of one of them”. 1 Kings 19.2
flight … Elijah was afraid, he got up and fled for his life. 1 Kings 19.3
… and despair he went into the wilderness and sat down under a solitary broom tree and asked that he might die 1 Kings 19.4
rest … an angel touched him and said ‘Get up and eat’ he ate and drank and lay down again. 1 Kings 19.5,6
… for the journey he went in the strength of that food for forty days and forty nights to Horeb the mount of God. 1 Kings 19.8
complaining … I alone am left 1 Kings 19.10
…then waiting Go out and stand on the mountain before the Lord for the Lord is about to pass by 1 Kings 19.11
watching … the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. 1 Kings 19.11,12
… and listening and after the fire a sound of sheer silence 1 Kings 19.12
returning … Go, return on your way … anoint Hazael, Jehu and Elisha … seven thousand, that have not bowed to Baal 1 Kings 19.18
… to partnership So he set out from there, and found Elisha 1 Kings 19.19
