Calera Intermediate School Parent – Culture Survey

The school clearly communicates the school’s goals and priorities to me.

The teachers communicate and demonstrate that they believe all students can learn.

My child’s school offers a variety of programs to assist students with different kinds of needs.

The school staff encourages me to set high expectations for my child’s overall achievement.

My child’s teachers expect and promote academic excellence.

My child feels safe at school.

My child’s teachers are focused on teaching and learning.

I have read the District’s Code of Conduct.

I believe that the District’s Code of Conduct is strictly enforced across the school.

I am regularly informed of my child’s progress in addition to receiving progress reports and report cards.

Students in my child’s school have the opportunity to receive additional help with skills they need.

My child’s report card and progress report accurately reflects academic achievement in a way that I can understand.

My child’s teachers provide opportunities for me to discuss my child’s overall progress

I receive timely information about all aspects of my child’s schooling.

I have adequate opportunities for involvement in different activities at my child’s school.

Parent meetings are offered at a variety of times to meet my needs.

I receive information about programs, curriculum, assessments, and proficiency levels that my child is expected to meet.

Annually, I receive copies of the school handbook and the School-Parent Compact

Overall, I am satisfied with Calera Intermediate’s education program.
