Where is Vanuatu? Vanuatu is made up of 83 islands and 63 islands are inhabited. (Located in South Pacific) Population of 285,966 Total Land Area 4720 sqm Around 75% Living in Rural Areas, 25% in Urban Areas Has six provinces, and 3 municipal councils Telecommunications Network coverage is currently around 92% of the population mainly on voice 2.5G and 2.75 G internet is available to 92% of the population 3G+ and 4G internet is available in the 4 key town areas of Port Vila, Santo, Tanna and Malekula Breakup your presentation, divide it into sections. What is TRR and its Role in the .vu ccTLD name space? TRR is the Vanuatu Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulator The .vu is the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes assigned for Vanuatu Country Code Top level Domain (ccTLD) .vu ccTLD delegated to Telecom Vanuatu Ltd (TVL) in 1995 when it was then partly owned by the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu Breakup your presentation, divide it into sections. What is TRR and its Role in the .vu ccTLD name space? Part 7 (4) (e) of the TRR Act of 2009 States that TRR may make Regulations ..”for the management and administration (including the exclusive management and administration) of country code top level domain names for Vanuatu and domain name registration for Vanuatu..” Breakup your presentation, divide it into sections. What is TRR trying to achieve? At an international level – a stable, reliable and secure DNS infrastructure A well managed Registry service Multiple Registrars in a liberalized market environment to create market competition and promote .vu ccTLD Adaptable polices to manage the resource better. What is the current situation?. TVL is the ICANN recognized manager of .vu ccTLD and TVL is both the Registry and the only Registrar DNSSEC has been implemented at the Registry level by TVL in 2014. The current Registry & Registrar is called Vanuatu Network Information Center (VUNIC (www.vunic.vu)) Breakup your presentation, divide it into sections.
