Cost of fencing

Perimeter of the shape Cost of fencing What is Fencing? Fencing is the total length of the boundary which is nothing but perimeter of the shape. Perimeter of the shape Cost of fencing

Ans : Cost of fencing the square field is Rs 50,000 Example 1: Find the cost of fencing a square field of side 50m are the rate of Rs 250 per m Solution: Given: Side of square field = 50m To find: Cost of fencing a square field To find the cost of fencing, we need to determine the perimeter of a square. Perimeter of a square = 4 x Side = 4 x 50 = 200 m Cost of fencing 1 m = Rs 250 Cost of fencing 200 m = 250 x 200 =Rs 50,000 Ans : Cost of fencing the square field is Rs 50,000

Ans : Cost of fencing the rectangular garden is Rs 528 Example 2: Find the cost of fencing a rectangular garden of length 19cm and breadth 25cm at the rate of Rs 6 per cm Solution: Given: Length of a rectangular garden = 19 cm Breadth of a rectangular garden = 25 cm To find: Cost of fencing a rectangular garden To find the cost of fencing, we need to determine the perimeter of a rectangle. Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 x (length + breadth) = 2 x (19 + 25) = 2 x 44 = 88 cm Cost of fencing 1 cm = Rs 6 Cost of fencing 88 cm = 88 x 6 =Rs 528 Ans : Cost of fencing the rectangular garden is Rs 528

Ans : Cost of fencing the triangular land is Rs 1,950 Example 3: Find the cost of fencing a triangular land of side 5m, 7m and 14m at the rate of 75 per m Solution: Given: Side of triangular land = 5m,7m and 14m To find: Cost of fencing a triangular land To find the cost of fencing, we need to determine the perimeter of a triangle. Perimeter of a square = sum of all sides = 5 + 7 + 14 = 26 m Cost of fencing 1 m = Rs 75 Cost of fencing 26 m = 75 x 26 =Rs 1950 Ans : Cost of fencing the triangular land is Rs 1,950

Try these Find the cost of fencing a rectangular garden of length 10 m and breadth 30 m at the rate of Rs 150 per m
