Punctate Inner Choroidopathy Roberto Aguilar Galan, MD, PhD. Complejo Hospitalario de Huelva, octubre 2.016

Punctate Inner Choroidopathy (PIC) Idiopathic inflammatory disorder of the choroid predominantly in young myopic females (90%) Bilateral white-yellow chorioretinal lesions of the posterior pole. No vitritis associated

Case report 36 years old female with OS BCVA = 2/3 and a central scotomata

FAG

Differential diagnosis Infectious uveítis Sarcoidosis Birdshot Serpiginous choroiditis

Follow up One month later: OS BCVA= ¼ Parafoveal Choroidal NeoVascularization (CNV) with peripherical white dots -> PIC Ranibizumab IVT (x5) -> OS BCVA = 1. Paramacular and nasal atrophic scars, with a halo of depigmentation

Prognosis Uncertain: Good in the absence of CNV (BCVA >20/25). Course usually self-limited with recurrences common The two major causes of visual loss are CNV and subretinal fibrosis

Thanks so much
