DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v02 Control unit for the detection of toxic and explosive gases provided with standard 4-20mA input for 2, 4 & 8 detectors. Exclusively developed to be installed with FIDEGAS S/3 (EEx d II C T6) detectors. Cover (keypad) in English & Spanish FIDEGAS CA presentation FIDEGAS CA is provided of: 2 actuation levels: Prealarm and Alarm Available outputs at 12V DC, 230V AC & D.C. Alarm & cabling fault indicators LEDs: prealarm, alarm, fault, 100% L.E.L., auxiliary battery Events memory ATEX certificate issued by Madariaga Official Laboratory LOM 03ATEX2095 when FIDEGAS S/3 detectors are connected. Connection cable: Halogen free shield cable with 1mm 2 section for a maximum length of 250 m. Control unit & detector EARTH connected

DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v02 FIDEGAS S/3-2 ExplosivesFIDEGAS S/3 T1 & T2 Toxics available gases FIDEGAS S/3. Exproof detectors For other gases, consult EEx d II C T6

DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v Get rid of the the outer cover and pull back the mesh (pic 2). 3.- Adjust the mesh to the inner part of the cable gland, helping yourself with a screwdriver (pic 3). 1.- Unscrew the cable gland. Pass the cable through the cable gland about 15 cm. (pic.1). Mark the cable and cut the outer cover. pic 1 pic 2 pic Introduce the washer to adjust the mesh inside the cable gland (pic 4). Fix the security circlip and adjust it against the washer helping yourself with a screwdriver (pic 5). 5.- Connect the cables in the wire clamp (pic 6). 6.- Assemble and fix the cable clamp with the right wrench in the correct order as indicated in pic. 7, 8 and Once you have tighten the cable gland, connect the wire clamp and close the cover. Do not forget the allen security screw pic 4pic 5 pic 6 pic 7 pic 8pic 9 connections FIDEGAS S/3. Exproof detectors

DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v02 maintenance Each filter/sensor has its own electronic circuits Do not swap sensors or circuits. Recalibrate FIDEGAS S/3 detector every 2 years during its working life (at manufacturer´s factory) Check the correct functioning of the detector with testing gas every 6 months FIDEGAS S/3. Exproof detectors

DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v02 Each filter/sensor has its own electronic circuit Do not swap sensors or circuits. Dissassemble and replacement of FIDEGAS S/3 detector 1.Release the cables from the connector marked with 1, 2, 3, & Earth connection. Releasing the self-blocking take out the whole set (cable + connector/s). 2. Release sensor´s connector. 3. Unscrew the filter/sensor. Do not twist the flat cable, neither hook it with other elements. 4. Electronic circuit can be dissassembled after releasing 2 subjection screws. maintenance FIDEGAS S/3. Exproof detectors

DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v02 FIDEGAS CA Quick installation guide Certificatdo nº FS82426

DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v02 1. Mount on the wall the control unit (door to be opened from left to right). 2. Control unit´s bag includes the following replacements: 2 1A fuses Thermal retractable tube to isolate the detector-panel shield connection cable avoiding short-circuits Conectors It allows the correct functioning of the panel when one or more are not connected (or if they has been disconnected for revisions). Screw M-4. Electronic circuit 3. Control unit – detector connection Fuse 1A. Protect the detectors. All fault LEDs lightining up mean blowed fuse Isolate the shield using the thermal retractable tube and connect it to EARTH in the proper connector. Connect: control unit-detector Place the connector in those non used connectors FIDEGAS CA Quick installation guide

DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v02 FIDEGAS CA2. Conector 230V AC PREALARM: This output its timed to activate the extraction during 2 minutes. IT SHOULD NOT ACTIVATE ALARMS Between C & NO (ALARM) Between C & NC (GAS CUT) 230V CA Outputs Do the connection between C & NC or C & NO, being sure that the devices connected (electrovalve, contactor, siren, etc.) work at 230V and total consumption does not exceed the B fuse value of 2A. 12V CC Outputs Do the connection between C & NC or C & NO, being sure that the devices connected (electrovalve, contactor, siren, etc.) work at 2V and total consumption does not exceed the C fuse value of 0,5A. Example of 12V output connection to an electrovalve FIDEGAS CA2. Conector 12V DC Dry contact (close contact and no powered). Between C & NC (ALARM) Between C & NO (GAS CUT) CONSIDERATIONS: When connecting 230V -or after a main fault- wait for 30 s before REARMING the system. Pay attention to the fuses capacity (mentioned in the manual) When all fault LEDs will be lightining up, check the state of the fuse ( D - E ) FIDEGAS CA Quick installation guide

DURAN ELECTRONICA. Tomás Bretón 50, Madrid, Spain I-FIDEGAS2008-v02 FIDEGAS S/3 DETECTORS testing: FIDEGAS CA Put the cap on the sensor head Introduce cannula In the cap´s hole Release gas for 2 s. to activate alarm Wait 3 s before releasing more gas as required gas concentration to activate the ALARM keeps 2 m in the mask aprox. Quick installation guide Testing bottle concentration is not suitable for calibration neither precision test. Ii is only recommended to check the detectors correct functioning.
