Timeline Proposed Rule – 511 IAC 6.2-11 July 2017 Board directed Board staff to begin rulemaking process August 2017 – October 2017 1st draft of Proposed Rule written by DOE and provided to Board staff DOE and Board staff held meetings to discuss draft of Proposed Rule Board member initiated input incorporated into draft November 2017 Board staff circulated draft of Proposed Rule to Board members Additional Board member feedback requested & incorporated January 2018 Notice of Intent published Proposed Rule brought before Board

Board Feedback: 9-12 Proposed Rule – 511 IAC 6.2-11 Current ESSA Proposed 511 IAC 6.2-11 Domains (9-12) Indicators (9-12)* Proficiency 20.0% Academic Achievement 15.0% 25.0% Growth Academic Progress   Graduation Rate 30.0% College & Career Readiness English Language Proficiency 10.0% 5.0% High School On-Track *Beginning w/ the 2023-2024 school year, the College & Career Readiness Indicator will no longer apply. The weight associated with the College & Career Readiness Indicator will be redistributed as provided in the Proposed Rule.
