Imagine laying your picture over a coordinate plane. Real Life Scenario: A cannonball is shot from the top of an ocean cliff as shown. The height (in meters) of the cannonball above the water is given by where t is the number of seconds after the shot. 1. What is the initial height of the cannonball? 2. After it is shot, how many seconds will it take for the cannonball to hit the water? 3. After it is shot, how many seconds will it take for the cannonball to reach its maximum height? 4. What is that maximum height? Upon completion of this problem, go answer questions 148, 149 and 150 on your Semester Exam Practice Exam. Make sure you show all work on your practice exam. See if you can show all of the work necessary without having to look at your work here. HINT! Imagine laying your picture over a coordinate plane.
