Objectives Discuss the difference between direct and indirect care workers. Evaluate the role of a nurse.

Direct Carers People who provide care directly to the client. E.g. nurses, doctors, social workers, care assistants, nursery nurses.

Indirect Carers People who provide a service to the direct carers that will ultimately benefit the client. E.g. medical receptionists, cleaners, porters.
