What is a BACKUP? Just what is a backup? NTI file backup or drive backup.

What is a Backup? Make copies of data, files, documents, videos, folders, pictures, and anything that is important or a keepsake. Something that is archived to a storage media other then the computer where the originals are kept and worked on until complete. This archive becomes the data to restore if a data lose or the computer crashes. Deciding what to back up is highly personal. Anything you cannot replace easily should be at the top of your list. Decide where you want to store your backup copies—external hard disk drive, CDs, DVDs, or some other storage format. It is simply a place to copy data to external media to restore if the original gets lost or unreadable. Always have more then one backup copy. If one gets lost or the backup is corrupt you have options. Email to special web email account. http://www.microsoft.com/protect/yourself/data/storage.mspx (Links may not be active or have moved.)

Compare Software How to backup data? Compare the two backup programs. Look and feel are the same, almost. These have a user interface that looks alike. This is a file backup option comparison.

Compare Software Price and Ease of use are the two things to check here. Look at price and ease of use of first 5. http://data-backup-software-review.toptenreviews.com/ Click RETURN for summary http://data-backup-software-review.toptenreviews.com/ Return

Summary Summary – What to backup and what software to use for backups? What equipment do I need? Many questions to ask when purchasing software – Not just backup software. Will it run on my system? Deciding what data to backup is highly personal. http://www.ntius.com Visit the web site of the vendor.

Summary Choosing an external storage format to backup files? Copy files or use software to create a backup? Digital vs. paper backup. Look at pros and cons of how to save data. Compress or not to compress. Full, partial, incremental, & how to restore. Data backup choices are as diverse as the people who use them. Choosing the right backup program can be complex and confusing. What to Look for in a Data Backup Software. You need backup software that is reliable and simple to use or you won't use it. 1. Feature Set – Backup software should be flexible enough to meet your needs. 2. Ease of Use – A computer novice should be able to install and use the backup software without help. 3. Backup and Restore – Your backup should be simple to set up and easy to restore. 4. Help Documentation – Backing up and restoring your data can be complex. Summary - Just copy the data that you want to keep to another hard drive. Then you can use the data with the original software that created it. Need to have multi copies of a backup. Must test the restore option of the backup.

Summary Because NTI Backup NOW! is simple to use it is a perfect choice for computer novices. Overall, NTI Backup is a good data backup program. It is simple to use and capable of meeting computer backup needs for the PC user. System Requirements….. It is important that your system meet the these requirements. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS….. 1.
