Who the Pilgrims are The pilgrims were a group of people who were from England. They left England, so they could worship god in the way they wanted to instead of following England's king. They came to America on the Mayflower.

Problems the Pilgrims Faced It was winter, so they couldn't find food and the stuff to build houses was buried and it was too cold. People were getting very sick because of the harsh weather.

The Wampanoag The Wampanoag were the first people to live in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

How the Wampanoag Helped They taught the pilgrims how to fish, plant, and hunt. They also helped them find and build shelter.

The First Thanksgiving The First Thanksgiving was to celebrate the pilgrims had survived the winter. They ate ducks, venison, corn, onions, cabbage, and squash. The feast lasted about a week. They also played games that people now don't play.
