Characters Greg Moore Greg is the Quarterback for their football team, the Digits. Larry Shope Larry is the Linebacker for their football team. He is tall and strong.

Theme The theme of this story is that you don’t win every game. Also sometimes you don’t get what you want. Last, Not every time your parents come to every game. Sometimes you dream about a famous player and you could play like them one day.

Summary The summary of this story is that Greg’s dad won’t spend time at his football games. All he does is sit at his law office all day.

Conflict I think the conflict is man vs. self because Greg isn’t happy that his dad won’t come to any of his football games.

Main Idea The main idea of this story is that Greg has a favorite famous player named Yancey Foote. Greg wants to be as good as him one day. Greg’s dad only comes to Greg’s last game of the season and that’s when they beat the Crickets 20 to 14. Greg gets to see Yancey at the end of the game.

Other The Digits had 3 games in this book. They won 2 and loss 1. Their toughest game was against the crickets which was their last game and they won on a game winning touchdown and won 20-14.
