An Easter Tradition in Slovakia for Year 6-9

In Slovakia boys pour some cold water on girls and they beat them with the willow canes to be healthy!

That´s a real catastrophe for the girls, isn´t it?

They reward them for that. They are given some painted eggs.

Chicken are the symbol of spring and life!
