Reviewer for Assessment # 4 Coverage: 1. The 3 Attributes of God 2. The Parable of the Sower 3. Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy

3 attributes of god Omnipotent- God is all-powerful or all-ruling. He is Almighty. ” When we say God is “Almighty,” we are stating our belief in His authority and rulership over all creation. Omnipresent- God is all-present. He is present everywhere at the same time. His spirit is living among us. Omniscient- God is all-knowing. He perceives all things, which means that no fact can be hidden from His knowledge.

The parable of the Sower (Mt. 13: 1-23)

Works of mercy According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church #2447, "Works of Mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor in his spiritual and bodily necessities.” The Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy are actions we can perform that extend God’s compassion and mercy to those in need.

Corporal Works of Mercy These are kind acts by which we help our neighbors with their material and physical needs.  1. Feed the hungry. 2. Give drink to the thirsty. 3. Clothe the naked. 4. Shelter the homeless. 5. Visit the sick. 6. Visit the imprisoned. 7. Bury the dead.

spiritual Works of Mercy These are acts of compassion by which we help our neighbors with their emotional and spiritual needs.  1. Admonish the sinner 2. Instruct the ignorant 3. Counsel the doubtful 4. Comfort the sorrowful 5. Bear wrongs patiently 6. Forgive all injuries 7. Pray for the living and the dead
