WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT Economists?

Economists Analyze information Predict Outcomes Explain current economic events (for example, why stock prices go up and down, how the price of gas is determined, why movie stars are highly paid, etc.)

Have you ever analyzed information and made predictions? Give an example when you analyzed a situation and predicted an outcome. (Examples: Score of a sports game, outcome of a movie plot, outcome of a political election, etc.) What information did you gather? What process did you use to make your prediction? Was your prediction accurate? If not, why not? How is this similar to what an economist does?
