What is the Alabama Virtual Library? A group of online databases that provides access to magazine, encyclopedia, newspaper, and journal articles for research purposes. Provided free of charge for students, teachers, and citizens of Alabama

Quick Practice – Grades 9-11 Under “Gale Virtual Reference Library,” click “Literature.” Click “Novels for Students.” On the left-hand side, type the name of the novel and hit enter to search. Click “View Text.”

Citations Virtually every article, essay, multimedia source, etc. has a citation attached. Also, you have the option to select MLA, APA, or other styles that may be required.

Practice Use the sheet provided to work with your group to explore AVL. Think of any questions you may have regarding how, why, or when to use AVL.
