LLWR Ltd: Continuing to Make Safety Our Top Priority EHSS&Q

A real history of safety excellence… LLWR Ltd: Continuing to Make Safety our Top Priority Where we were… where we are now A real history of safety excellence… Zero RIDDOR Reportable injuries in 6.5 years; Only injuries being seen were very minor… Until 2017… A real dip in recent performance: 18 people hurt 2017/18; OSHA TRIR at an all-time high for LLWR (1.4)… Date: 13/06/2007

LLWR Ltd: Continuing to Make Safety our Top Priority Where we were… where we are now We do not believe that this is reflective of the overall safety culture and standards in place at LLWR – but we need to treat it as genuine and respond appropriately; Through looking critically at ourselves we recognised that the standards we expect and see from the majority aren’t always consistent across the entire organisation; We need to focus on a consistent message and consistent expectations for all. Date: 13/06/2007

LLWR Ltd: Continuing to Make Safety our Top Priority SAFE Behaviours at LLWR Ltd. (February); 6-months on… (March); Single-Tasking (April); Reporting Hazards (May); Personal Responsibility for Safety (June); Effective Pre-Job Briefs (July). EHSS&Q

LLWR Ltd: Continuing to Make Safety our Top Priority Perfect Days at LLWR Ltd. Criteria % Achieved 2015/16 % Achieved 2017/18 (to 21/09/17 % Achieved 2018/19 YTD Safety 90% 89% 93% Stakeholder Relations 98% 99% Environmental Stewardship Security 97% Schedule Adherence 70% 95% Standards and Expectations Quality 94% We only have a Perfect Day if: everything goes to plan; we don’t hurt anyone or the environment; we close our actions out to time; and we don’t give our stakeholders any reason to be unhappy with us. We want to be >95% ‘Perfect’ against each of our criteria; Regular visibility through our ‘Perfect Day’ initiative is helping us focus and achieve. EHSS&Q

LLWR Ltd: Continuing to Make Safety our Top Priority Safety Improvement Plan Striving for continuous improvement at LLWR Ltd. LLWR’s Safety Improvement Plan is focused on the key deliverables to show real safety improvements within LLWR; Specific improvement areas include (not complete list): Develop core H&S Fundamentals for LLWR and embed into Leadership roles; Launch Hazard Reporting Cards to enable the workforce to promptly identify and report hazards (COMPLETE); Carry out Pelham House 'Improving our Safety and Organisational Awareness' briefing sessions at Pelham House; Review LLWR Induction to ensure Lead Team presence and material covered is up to date with current Safety initiatives and expectations; Support the development of the 'This is Us' workshops and training material, ensuring that the core H&S Fundamentals are embedded within the material Contractor Management arrangements – working on making it easier for our contractors to understand our requirements and standards when coming to work for LLWR; Striving to facilitate greater ‘doer’ involvement in the Stakeholder process; Implementation of the Occupational Health and Wellness Strategy… EHSS&Q

LLWR Ltd: Continuing to Make Safety our Top Priority Striving for continuous improvement at LLWR Ltd. We have an amazing workforce that care about each other’s and their own safety. Where there is a real safety concern there is no doubt people will, and do, challenge; There are areas where we can definitely improve. Hopefully we have recognised these on our Safety Improvement Plan and will tackle them across 2018/19 and beyond; Every time someone gets hurt it hurts us all – we care about our employees, contractors and anyone else connected with LLWR’s business and we’re all working together to ensure our safety statistics to improve; Most recent statistics: No-one has been hurt since the end of May 2018; June was 100% ‘Perfect’ for Safety (zero days lost due to Safety); Many people are using the new Hazard Reporting cards – we’re ‘switched on’ and looking for problems; More improvements still to come… EHSS&Q
