What irony do we have in chapter 4?
Rank [best to needs most help] and score [4 to 1] the following thesis statements: In the book “Animal Farm” written by George Orwell, the lack of education most animals have allows the pigs to take control of Animal Farm. In the novel Animal Farm, it is situationally ironic that an animal killed a human being; showing how the morals of animalism can be corrupted easily. Most animals can’t read but the pigs can read well, giving the pigs the most power among the farm animals. In Animal Farm by Orwell the Animals have an inability to read to show even strong armies have flaws. Orwell showed the irony of the Russian Revolution writing that the animals who cannot even read the principle of Animalism, is willing to fight a risk their life for it.
Things Smith Noticed: Nobody included the theme statement Smith handed you as their “so what.” Why? Many of you failed to make a claim that was an actual argument. Not a fact from the novel. It seems that nobody noticed the connection between the three prompts. They’re essentially getting at the same idea.
Rewrite your thesis on the back of your notecard!!
