M Median the central value of a set of observed. If there’s an even # of observations, take the middle 2 and divide by 2 If there’s an odd # of observations, take the exact middle number.
Mode the observation that is seen with the most frequency.
R Range the difference between the highest and the lowest observed value. Version 1: range = 8 (subtract highest from lowest value) Version 2: range = 6-9.5 (writes the actual lowest and highest value to “bookend” the range
Standard Deviation measures the average dispersion, or average spread, of your data set around your mean. A smaller Stdev is better!! S
