Chinese Art (653 B.C - A.D. 1900)

China Chinese art was heavily influenced by the culture and the way of life of the people. It changed to were the art told us of the everyday people, rather than the ones that were high in power. They would be used to tell poems and songs.

Meditative Art Used by Chinese and Japanese artist. This art was thought to be a way of meditating and a way to relax the mind. The art would show a calm and soothing place.

Serene Art During this time era, Serene Art was used very commonly. It was used to show peace and calmness. Artist also used this type of art to show that there is no reason for violence and war.

Chinese Art Techniques They would mostly paint However, they would mostly paint on silk. Inking Calligraphy was used on their artwork. Calligraphy would be the art of decorating with handwriting or lettering using a pen or brush. They would also use Polychrome. The technique of decorating the art in various colors.
