Acceleration Acceleration – the rate at which velocity changes  Can be an: Increase in speed Decrease in speed Change in direction.
Accelerated Motion. is changing either the speed or direction, or both, of motion. Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity, in other words, how.
Acceleration is the rate at which the velocity is changing. 4.4 Acceleration.

A car is decelerated to 20 m/s in 6 seconds A car is decelerated to 20 m/s in 6 seconds. Given that it travels a distance of 240 m, calculate its: initial velocity, b) deceleration.

A cheetah can reach a speed of 80 km/h from rest in just 3 seconds. Change 80 km/h to m/s. b) Calculate: i) its acceleration, ii) the distance it travels, iii) its average speed.

A train moving at 20 m/s increases its speed to 35 m/s while accelerating at 3 m/s2. Calculate the: time interval during which it accelerates, b) distance travelled by the train.
