Writing an equation in “Slope Intercept Form” from a graph Need to find m and b To find m: count your slope or use the formula To find b: locate it on the y-axis Plug in m and b into y=mx+b

To write an equation given points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) Find “m” using the equation Find “b” by plugging in: m and (x, y) to the equation y= mx + b. Write the equation in slope-intercept form using the “m” found in step 1 and the “b” value calculated in step 2.
