GOALS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY: Spend less time looking for keys, homework, receipts, etc. 1. FREE UP YOUR TIME Everything has a home 2. FIND WHAT YOU NEED WHEN YOU NEED IT Physical clutter = emotional clutter 3. STRESS LESS Without spending your time searching and stressing over stuff, you can do what you love with your loved ones. 4.SPEND TIME DOING WHAT YOU LOVE

DECLUTTER ANY SPACE Sort all like items Purge: toss, donate or sell Make a home for everything Creative Use of Space: backs of doors inside cabinets under bed (out of season clothes, shoes, etc.)

CREATE A SYSTEM Drop Zone for family: Mail: Toss junk immediately Everyone has a bin, basket or drawer and hook for backpacks, coats and keys Night before = everything gets placed in drop zone Good place for a calendar Mail: Toss junk immediately Bills: weekly Files: Pending, Action, To file (put on calendar)

TIME MANAGEMENT Set attainable goals and prioritize them Use a calendar and block off drive time and “get done by” time (ex. Taxes) Stop procrastinating: Set a timer do 20 minutes at a time Start with most difficult One task at a time and complete Multi-tasking (if you must: one physical and one mental at a time) Learn to say NO

Time Management (continued) Routine: Dinner time, homework time, bedtime (set out clothes night before) Set up carpools Errands: Get them done on your way to and from appointments (always have a list with you) Cooking: Weekly meal plan and grocery list Cook several meals and freeze Prep night before (lunches and breakfast) Let kids help

School shopping clothes and supplies First day of school = August 6th Before August 1st: Try on clothes for Fall/Winter and make list of what to buy Look at supply list and go though house collecting any supplies you may already have – whatever you do not – make list of what to buy

Kids Homework  1. Every school subject should have a color coded folder. 2. All “to-do” work should be kept on left side of folder and when it’s completed it gets moved to the right side. 3. Once a week, clean out the backpack and make sure all folders are cleaned out. (Sunday evenings are a good time for this)
