The importance of correct English communication in a job interview! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVAMb6Kui6A

A lesson series on job interviews What: three lessons about job interviews in English Why (goal for this series): to prepare you for future job or internship interviews (if you were to do your internship or future work in a different country) and to give you all the tools you need in order to have a successful job interview in English (for example: vocabulary, formal language, interview questions). When: December 1 – December 15

Assignment: find your difficulties -> Individually, you are going to watch the job interview again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVAMb6Kui6A -> You are going to take out 10 words you are not familiar with (words you don’t know). -> Write down these words and look up their meaning. Also present them in a sentence! -> Here is an example of how you should present them: word: interview meaning: when you ask someone a number of questions to find out certain things sentence: I interviewed someone for a new job position.

Job interview vocabulary (take notes!) Here is some vocabulary that is often used in job interview or that you can use when you have a job or internship interview! You can add these to your own list of vocabulary (so write these down!). I will explain the meaning so you can write that down as well: Accomplish Effective Efficient Met the deadline On time Organize Practical Reorganize Responsible Solution Support Team-player Motivated Priority Develop Initiative Negotiated Supervise Plan Resolve

Recap and homework assignment -> Please study the vocabulary and practice the pronunciation of the words. -> If you would like feedback on your pronunciation: you can record yourself pronouncing the words. We will pick up on this topic next week!
