Vision & Strategy

Our Purpose To be a global movement of passionate people extending God’s grace and igniting hope in every community

Our Inspirational Goal To increase the number of ACOP churches in Canada to 200 and globally to 2000 by 2030

Our Mission To develop effective leaders and healthy churches who transform communities

Foundational Values We Are Better Together If one can put a thousand to flight, and two can put ten thousand To flight, just think of what 18,000 can do! Relationship Trumps Geography Being close and available is more important than being near. Multiplication Is Essential For Missional Effectiveness Every believer a disciple, every disciple a disciple maker, every church a disciple making community. The Power Of Presence Whoever shows up has influence.

Foundational Values A Big Tent Unity in the essentials - is critical, unity in the non-essentials – is enriching Teamwork It is the fuel that allows common people to achieve uncommon results. A three stranded cord is not easily broken. A Culture Of Honour A ministry environment that is characterized by love, respect, servant leadership, empowerment, and preferring one another, regardless of gender or generation.

Our Envisioned Future We believe God wants ACOP to be a disciple-making movement that is: Characterized by healthy, resilient and reproducing churches focused on reaching the lost Welcoming the supernatural, empowering work of the Holy Spirit Engaging every believer as an active partner in The Great Commission Affirming the ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers Brimming with effective, fruitful and diverse leaders

Our Envisioned Future We believe God wants ACOP to be a disciple-making movement that is: Reflective of the Canadian mosaic of people groups Pioneering, entrepreneurial and innovative Saturated in prayer Engaging all generations while developing and empowering emerging generations Blessing and transforming communities throughout Canada and around the world

Strategic Intent – How God Wants Us to Grow To deploy a leadership development process to equip and release 100 people by 2020 To grow the number of ACOP churches in Canada to 150 and globally to 1,500 by 2020 To revitalize 20 existing Canadian churches by 2020

Strategic Initiatives To develop and deploy a competency-based leadership development program for ACOP pastors, church planters and global workers To engage and deploy Next-Gen leaders Advocate for church revitalization and renewal Recruit, assess, equip and release church planters and church planting teams in Canada Recruit, equip, qualify and deploy workers into frontier missions around the globe

Local Churches as Disciple-Making Communities Jesus said he would build his church – but he commissioned his followers to make disciples. As disciples make disciples God’s plan is that they would gather together regularly. This is the gathering of the church.

Local Churches as Disciple-Making Communities Every local church aspires to be a group of Jesus-followers on missions together with God who, regardless of numeric size and form, have a: Discovered and known purpose/mission Effective disciple making plan and are reproducing Commitment to community transformation Recognized leader or leadership team Regular time of worship, teaching/studying the Word of God, prayer, giving and care for each other Practice of sharing the sacraments of the Lords Table and water Baptism

Partner Churches Partner churches support the Vision, Values, Goals and Mission of ACOP with their time, talent and treasure
