History Gangsta Rap - is a subgenre of hip hop music with themes and lyrics based on the "thug" or "gangsta" lifestyle. Started developing in mid-80’s. First envolved by N.W.A. The first blockbuster gangsta rap album was N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton, released in 1988.

Gangsta Rap style had a rude lyrics, and because of this, had incredible success in society. The lyrical respect he was as sharp as rough fiction rappers on urban irregularities. Sometimes text differed accurate reflection of reality, and sometimes it was just filled with comic exaggeration.

Old School Rap Old School Rap is a substyle of whole rap culture, but very similar with Gangsta Rap. This style came from the NYC in 70’s Old school is easily differed from the other styles by its simple lyrics - most lines take up about the same time, and speech rhythms are going with actual music.
