8-5: Rhombi and Squares

Rhombus Definition - a quadrilateral with all four sides congruent. Properties Has all of the properties of a parallelogram. Diagonals are perpendicular. Each diagonal bisects a pair of opposite angles.

Quadrilateral EFGH is a rhombus. Find x.

If EFGH is a rhombus and m<FED=3x+3 and m<DEH=5x-7, find m<FGH

Square Definition – a quadrilateral that is both a rhombus and a rectangle. Has all properties of Parallelograms Rectangles Rhombi

Given A(1,3), B(-3,1), C(-1,-3), D(3,-1). Classify quadrilateral ABCD.

Assignment: WB 8-5: all except 12.
