Budget – 1 of 2 Introduction The Purpose/Benefits of Budgets Budget is a list of all planned expenses and revenues. It helps them in planning targets for the future, in terms of laying figures that the organisation plans to achieve Budgeting helps to have a control on business expenditure since budgeted figures can be compared against actual figures and the variances can be analysed. The Purpose/Benefits of Budgets Refine goals and use of funds efficiently Accurate evaluation of Financial activities Helps in Decision Making Reference for future planning

Budget – 2 of 2 Product Walk through Reports Create Budgets for specific period Record transactions as per budget allocated Reports Budget Report - Budgets can be displayed in new columns in most financial statements like the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss A/c. Budget Variance Report - Budget Variance is the difference between actual transactions values and the Budgeted figure.
