General information What fastener to use in what concrete: 2 Thickness of Material + Penetration Depth = Fastener Length

Cubical pressure Cube of 150x150x150 mm Tested until it breaks to meausure strength 2nd number in the concrete class C16/20 A cube is stronger than a cilinder, there for a smaller object is used. 3

Cylindrical pressure Cilinder of 150x300 mm Tested until it breaks to meausure strength 1st number in the concrete class C16/20 A cylinder is weaker than a cube. 4

What fastener to use in what concrete In steel structure beams (max 650 N/mm2): always use premium pins. Max penetration depth = 6.5 mm 5 Thickness of Material (Examples) Concrete Class Recommended Penetration Depth1mm Steel Stud3mm Steel Stud10mm Wood C16/ mm25 / C20/ mm C25/ mm1919 / 2225 / 32 C30/ mm1919 / 2225 C40/ mm1519 / 2225 C50/ mm15 22 / 25 Premium pins advised

7

On site concreting can lead to more pebble-stones on the bottom than on the top side. In such a case, on the ceiling side you need premium pins while on the floor side to can use regular pins. 8

9 In soft concrete the scoring rate is high. A normal pin is advised. In hard concrete the nail can either bent or deform. This has an influance on the scoring rate. Therefor the premium pin is advised for usage in hard concrete.

Metal(stud) on steel

Metal on steel

Wood on concrete In concrete minimum distance from the edge is > 76,2 mm. Minimum distance between nails > 102 mm.

Metal(stud) on concrete

Metal on stone

For fastening single shot attachements Pins can fix several attachements like: Washers Metal clips Plastic clips Perfo band 25

Metal on brick. When using the attachment and a washer, the metal profile is still adjustable to make it vertical aligned. After that, fix the profile in the corners.

27

Plastic on concrete.

29

For all these you can of course also use a Pneumatic version.

Nail not deep enough -Nail too long -DOD setting not correct (SGP40S/L) -Increase pressure (SAP40) Nail too deep -Nail too short -DOD setting not correct (SGP40S/L) -Reduce pressure (SAP40)

Nail bends -Hard concrete / big pebble stones -Steel reinforcement direct under surface -Hard surface (steel) Nail not deep enough in steel -Steel too hard

Nail wont stay in material -Base material not thick enough (> 5mm) Nail breaks -Base material too hard -Nail too long

QFit the Senco pins in other tools AYes, they fit (except for Hilti or unknown brands) QFit Senco gas in other tools AYes, it fits (PC1254 is universal), gas fuel is lubricant and gives no negative result (even more shots are possible) QWhich nail to be used for which application AUse the table (advice, always test on site) QWhat service needs to be done on the tools? ATool needs to be proper managed, and needs cleaning (interval depending on use)
