Presentation transcript:

WORD AWARE !!! WHAT IS WORD AWARE? Word aware is a range of words that we can put into our writing and vocabulary to make it better. In our school there is up to 30 different languages and any one that is new and does not speak a lot of English will soon be improving a lot if they use our word aware.

HOW IT IS USED? Word aware is normally based on the topic that the class is doing and it helps the children in spell words they can not spell and they could think of what it means or other words that mean the same (similes) and where they could use it in their vocabulary or writing

WHY IS IT EFFECTIVE ? Word aware will help you improve and up level your writing and if you use it a lot then your writing and vocabulary will get a lot stronger and better then usual.

NEXT TIME WE WILL ANALYSE THE ATTENDANCE WITH MRS VINCENT

COLOURFUL SEMANTICS !!!

WHAT IS COLOURFUL SEMANTICS ????? Colourful semantics is a set of words that sum up ALL types of words. In every colourful semantics there where, who, what doing, what, what like, when, who to and how doing

HOW IS IT USED ???? Colourful semantics is ALWAYS in order. Anytime you are not sure what comes next in a sentence, look at the walls in your classroom ( as they SHOULD be on the walls ) and look at where you are now and what is next. If colourful semantics does NOT help you, ask your teacher to help you figure out what is next in the sentence.

HOW IS IT EFFECTIVE ??? Colourful semantics will help you improve and up-level your writing. Also, if you continue to use colourful semantics (whether you actually need it or not) you will get better at grammar and your vocabulary will grow stronger and stronger until you have the biggest word range ever !!!!!

Next time we will analyse the attendance with Mrs Vincent. !!!!!!
