AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND COORDINATION  OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION Agency Status Establishment The Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted on 30 December 2009 the Law on the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption. Status The Agency is an independent and autonomous administrative organization that is accountable to the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Budget The funds required for the Agency’s operation are provided from the Budget. In total 32 EMPLOYES. Unfortunally, the budget includes only overhead costs, salaries of all employees, leasing costs for the Agency, IT expenditures etc. Management Management of the Agency was appointed in July 2011.

AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND COORDINATION  OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION APIK has created Guidelines for cooperation with civil society organizations that in a systemic manner define the forms of cooperation and coordination regarding the implementation of specific projects in the field of anti-corruption. http://apik.ba/zakoni-i-drugi-akti/ostali-akti/smjernice-i-preporuke   MoUs were signed with several CSOs in order to establish partnerships and implement anticorruption projects (TI B&H and ACCOUNT)

Anti-corruption Strategy of B&H 2015 – 2019 AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND COORDINATION  OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION Anti-corruption Strategy of B&H 2015 – 2019 During the development of the Anticorruption Strategy at the level of B&H for the period 2015-2019 the widest possible public consultation process had been conducted to include the representatives of more than 23 relevant institutions in B&H at all levels of government, the academic community and relevant civil society organizations in an inter-institutional working group.

Anti-corruption Strategy of B&H 2015 – 2019 AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND COORDINATION  OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION Anti-corruption Strategy of B&H 2015 – 2019 In terms of prevention of corruption in the private sector the Anti-corruption Strategy of B&H predict the improvement of the legal framework for the active participation of the private sector in anti-corruption activities and to promote the adoption and application of codes of business ethics in the operations in order to prevent corruption in the relations between businesses and institutions.

Anti-corruption Strategy of B&H 2015 – 2019 AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND COORDINATION  OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION Anti-corruption Strategy of B&H 2015 – 2019 Representatives of the Agency held trainings at the Foreign Trade Chamber of B&H on the topic: "Training of chambers of commerce and companies on the fight against corruption." APIK has prepared an "Analysis of private sector involvement in the fight against corruption, the possibilities and forms of cooperation between institutions in the anti-corruption system in BiH".

Examples of good practices AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND COORDINATION  OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION Examples of good practices Adequate protection to persons reporting corruption In the entity of the Federation of B&H the Draft Law on Protection of Persons who Report Corruption in the Federation of B&H was adopted after its first reading at the 30th extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of FB&H on June 20, 2018.

Examples of good practices AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND COORDINATION  OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION Examples of good practices Providing full access to information In June 2018, Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina (TI B&H) developed a database on the operations of public sector companies and announced it on the portal http://transparentno.ba/. The most important information about 230 public companies was published, also a summary of their effectiveness, the number of employees and the impact on the economy current information related to public procurement, in order to timely point out potential irregularities and violations of the law.

Examples of good practices: One Stop Shops AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND COORDINATION  OF THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION Examples of good practices: One Stop Shops The mayors and their teams in Teslić, Tešanj, and Žepče are committed to facilitating investment and prevent corruption. Investors are provided support at all stages of setting up a business and resolving administrative issues, as well as in communication with higher levels of government and other institutions. At their disposal, investors have professionals from the Development Department of the Teslić Municipality, the TRA Development Agency of the Tešanj Municipality and the RAŽ Development Agency of Žepče.
