Optical Aliphatic Films

Optical Aliphatic TPU films Glass Glass Bonding interlayer (Krystalflex®) Polycarbonate Bonding interlayer (Krystalflex®) Slide 17 (hidden): Optical Aliphatic TPU films KrystalFlexTM is a light stable aliphatic TPU film. This material shows outstanding mechanical properties and excellent optical clarity. The polymer is fully resistance to UV degradation. In the portfolio, 10 grades are available: 3 standard products PE 192, PE 193 and PE 500 do not contain any adhesive promoter. 3 performance products PE 393, PE 399 and PE 501 are ordered from the lowest chemical resistance. 4 specialty products PE 409, PE 419, PE 429 and PE 499 Applications of KrystalFlexTM as interlayer are found in several domains: in architectural glazing as physical security and containment in transportation glazing for autos, rail, VIP and armour system in aerospace as impact glazing in electronics for PC lamination and encapsulation and so on… Rem: Go back to slide 13 to continue the presentation

Optical Aliphatic TPU films Krystalflex® polyurethane films are used to combine glass and an optical-quality, high impact plastic sheet, such as polycarbonate, for a wide range of bullet resistant or impact resistant glazing composites Higher impact resistance and lower weight than is possible with all glass constructions Provide the invisible link in combining glass and plastic glazing materials  Slide 17 (hidden): Optical Aliphatic TPU films KrystalFlexTM is a light stable aliphatic TPU film. Optical properties

Specifically designed for transparency Optical properties Transparency Slide 23 (hidden): Optical properties As explained before, KrystalFlexTM products are based on aliphatic isocyanates. Besides, OA TPU films offer high light transmission. These products were specifically designed to improve film transparency. Transparency is a key property for the manufacture of many products in the glazing industry, for example for bullet-proof glass. One other advantage of aliphatic isocyanates is to obtain a film resistant to UV light degradation: no yellowing is encountered. It also prevents from cracking. The film shows therefore excellent optical clarity and has a long life-time. For example, OA TPU film is already used as interlayer for optical filters. To ensure that the product will play its role properly, it is compulsory to have highly transparent interlayer. Aliphatic based TPU High light transmission Specifically designed for transparency
