The floor surface must be level and clean. Cut a channel in the concrete for the floor probe. It should lead to where the thermostat is to be placed. Put the floor probe into the channel and run the connection wire to the wall. Secure the probe with tape. Concrete sub floor

Lay hardboard on top of the floor boards to achieve a smooth, clean level surface. Put the floor probe into the channel and run the connection wire to the wall. Secure the probe with tape. Cut a groove in the board for the floor probe. Timber sub floor

Use Depron to insulate the floor. Secure the Depron using 2 tape. Cut a hole in the Depron where the floor probe is to be positioned.

The ECOFILM F can now be rolled out across the floor covering the area that is to be heated. Remember not to place the element under fixed objects in the room. The Flexel element is joined up in parallel leading to the point where the thermostat is to be placed. Install the thermostat making connections from the element and the floor probe.

A polythene sheet is laid over the top of the element. This can be replaced by the manufacturers recommended material if required for warranty. The laminate floor is laid on top of the polythene.

Install metal joists (5) to the ceiling structure (6), lay thermal insulation min. 50mm (4), spread the heating foil ECOFILM C (3), lay PE foil as moisture stop (2), carry out wiring, cover with plasterboard (max. 16 mm thick) (1) ECOFILM C – ceiling heating foil

Seal both ends of element with Fenix tape

Fold AMP and close with thumb and forefinger Insert leads Insert element into crimp

Make 2 diagonal applications with the flat edge of the crimping tool on the crimp. Make application with the W section of the crimping tool on the cylindrical ferrule.

5) Crimp connector must be insulated by MASTIC strip.

Introduce lower section of t connector cover. Equipment required for ceiling installation

When crimp is in place introduce top section of t cover

Snap connector covers together. Repeat for all copper conductor end pieces.
