COURSE OBJECTIVES Provide students with a realistic software development experience to facilitate the development and improvement of their skills in: Projet management System analysis and design Communication skills (oral and written communication, teamwork, etc..)

PROJECT ROLES Student Supervisor Client Coordinator

PROJECT ROLES (Cont.) Student Undertake the software development, guided by the supervisor, to develop the student’s intellectual independence. Show committement to the project. Understand professional, ethical, and legal issues and responsibilities. Function effectively in team to accomplish a common goal.

PROJECT ROLES (Cont.) Student Complete the graduation project within the expected time period. Dedicate sufficient time to the graduation project, and plan a weekly meetings with the supervisor and the team members.. Attend all weekly meetings. Provide evidence of the progress of the work (reports submitted periodically).

Attend all course seminars. PROJECT ROLES (Cont.) Student Inform the supervisor in case of problems or difficulties with the project, the client, or any of the team members. Inform the coordinator in case of problems with the supervision process. Attend all course seminars. Check regularly the course blog for any announcements and/or resources downloads (proposal template, schedules, etc..)

Provide guidance and advise on project issues. PROJECT ROLES (Cont.) Supervisor Provide regular feedback (oral discussion, documents’ reviewing & correction, etc.. ) based on a weekly meeting. Provide guidance and advise on project issues. Evaluate each team member by assigning a mark out of 60 by the end of the semester, based on the student committement and contribution to the project along the semester. Report to the coordinator any issues related to the project (Scope adjustement, team and client issues, etc.)

Client PROJECT ROLES (Cont.) Assist and guide the team during the requirement gathering. Participate and validate the software testing (part of Project-2).

Coordinator PROJECT ROLES (Cont.) Manage all the processes of graduation project in the IT department: Post projects ideas on the blog. Manage team formation. Handle Project-Team assignment procedure. Form evaluation committees and assign them to projects. Schedule graduation projects presentations.

Coordinator PROJECT ROLES (Cont.) Maintain the course blog and post latest news and announcements. Inform students and supervisors of rules and regulations. Provide supervisors and students with guidance and advise.
