The Home/Index Page Serves as an index for the web site Serves as a map to the rest of the web site Sometimes called the front page Creates a positive first impression of site “You don’t get a second chance to make a good first impression!” Introduces the web site and communicates the purpose of the web site

The Home/Index Page continued Consists of HTML file and related files for scripts (JavaScript) and graphics Automatically loads when URL is keyed into the web browser All major options for the web site are shown on home page.
