A. Cosmology- the study of the origin and future of the universe

B. The Big Bang Theory http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENPTdhI8IIE

1) The Big Bang theory states that the universe began with a tremendous explosion about 10 billion to 15 billion years ago.

2) Everything in the universe gathered together under extreme pressure, temperature and density in one spot and for some reason expanded.

3) Cosmic background radiation was left over from the big bang 3) Cosmic background radiation was left over from the big bang. It is supporting evidence for the Big Bang Theory.

4) Energy can change into matter.

Universal Expansion Galaxies are moving away from all other galaxies. Observations show that the universe is expanding outward. There is no measurable center and is no apparent edge.

D. Planets are part of planetary systems which are part of star clusters which are part of Galaxies which are part of Galaxy Groups which are part of Galaxy Clusters which are part of Superclusters.
