Sport and Hobby Vocabulary On the list of new vocabulary, use the pictures and cognates to define as many of the words as possible First: Individual Then: Share & Compare in small group Finally: Review as a whole class On the top of your page, write the word NOUNS Can you pick out a singular noun vs a plural noun from the page?

Define 4 square To tell what I like or dislike.

Conjugate 4 square Me gusta – I like (singular) Me gustan – I like (plural) No me gusta – I do not like (singular) No me gustan – I do not like (plural) ¿Qué (no) te gusta? – What do you (not) like?

Writing Practice On the back of your notes write the following in sentence format using the sport/hobby (noun) vocabulary and “gustar”: 3 likes ( 2 singular; 1 plural) 2 dislikes

Speaking Practice In partners, ask what each other’s likes and dislikes in Spanish. Use your 5 written sentences to answer. Complete activity with two different partners. ¿Qué te gusta? and ¿Qué no te gusta? Me gusta el beisbol 1st partner: Using notes 2nd partner: Try not to use notes Whole group wrap-up I will ask random students in each small group what they like and dislike. If I ask you a question, you must follow up by asking another student in your small group what he/she dislikes.

Charades You will be working in small groups to review the sport/hobby vocabulary with a charade game. You will plan a charade (silent act) with a small group to present to the class for the other students to guess IN SPANISH which sport/hobby that your small group is acting out.
